In view of the summer season, the Fatehgarh Sahib Police organized a religious and social service event near the Jyoti Swaroop turn in Sirhind, continuing an annual tradition.
The event began with the conclusion of the *Sri Sukhmani Sahib* recitation, attended by a large number of police officers and personnel who offered prayers for the well-being of all (*Sarbat da Bhala*). Following the prayers, a *Chabeel* serving cold, sweetened water and chickpeas was set up to provide relief to passersby from the intense heat.
Fatehgarh Sahib District Police Chief (SSP) Shubham Agrawal personally participated in the service by distributing the cold, sweetened water and *Prasad* to devotees and passersby. Speaking to the media, the District Police Chief stated that the event was organized through the collective cooperation of SPs, DSPs, and police personnel.
He noted that the police department organizes this event annually with devotion, seeking divine grace to ensure that peace, harmony, prosperity, and mutual brotherhood prevail across the state and the district.
Police officials emphasized that contributing to social and religious causes is a key duty alongside their professional responsibilities. Several senior police officers, dignitaries, and a large number of local residents attended the event and appreciated this humanitarian initiative by the police.
