The government has issued a significant administrative order regarding the Special Intensive Voter Revision (SIR) campaign. The order clarifies that all government and government-aided schools in the state will remain open as usual on July 11 and 12.
On both these days, the teaching and non-teaching staff of the schools will report for duty and extend full cooperation to election officials for the special voter revision campaign. The order issued by the School Education Department states that this decision has been taken in accordance with instructions issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, on July 9. According to the order, special camps under the SIR initiative will be organized on July 11 and 12.
In view of this, it has been made mandatory for all Education Department employees to be present at their respective schools and assist with tasks related to the voter revision campaign.
