Punjab’s *Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana* (MMSY) is taking another significant step towards citizen-centric healthcare services; the State Health Agency (SHA), Punjab, has now enabled beneficiaries to digitally download their health cards from the official portal.
With this facility, eligible beneficiaries no longer need to visit a center simply to obtain a copy of their health card.
Once the beneficiary’s verification/e-KYC and photo authentication are complete, the health card can be viewed and downloaded online; it can be stored securely on a mobile phone or printed for future use.
Three Easy Steps to Obtain the Health Card
1. Enter Details
Beneficiaries can search for their family records using their Family ID, Health Card Number, Mobile Number, or Aadhaar Number.
2. Secure OTP Verification
Beneficiaries can complete authentication via OTP-based verification linked to their registered mobile number or Aadhaar details.
3. Download Health Card
After successful authentication, the verified health card can be viewed and downloaded in PDF format. This allows beneficiaries to keep a digital copy on their mobile phones or obtain a printed copy. Important: Complete e-KYC Before Downloading
Beneficiaries must ensure that their photo-based verification/e-KYC is completed before downloading the health card.
Through this digital process, beneficiaries can verify the updated photographs of family members and complete the necessary authentication steps before generating the card.
This is a crucial security measure: simply downloading the card without completing the required verification does not substitute for the completion of the beneficiary authentication process.
Major Benefit Under *Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana*
The digital card facility is another significant addition to the benefits provided to beneficiaries under the *Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana*. This healthcare initiative by Punjab offers cashless treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family per year. The Chief Minister’s Health Scheme (Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana) not only provides financial protection to families against substantial medical expenses but also simplifies the process of accessing healthcare facilities.
Secure access to the health card via mobile phones reduces paperwork, minimizes the need for unnecessary visits to centers, and ensures quick access to essential documents when healthcare services are required.
Keep your card ready—anytime, anywhere
Beneficiaries can:
Store the downloaded health card securely on their mobile phones.
Keep a printed copy for their records.
Share a copy with family members when needed.
Present the card while availing of eligible health services.
A digital health initiative with a human impact
This move reflects the broader objective of the Chief Minister’s Health Scheme: not only expanding health coverage but also making it more accessible to the public. From an annual family health coverage of ₹10 lakh to convenient digital card access, Punjab’s health security system consistently prioritizes ease and accessibility in service delivery.
Access the official SHA Punjab portal
