Obtaining a health card has now become easier for beneficiaries of the Punjab Government’s Chief Minister Sehat Yojana (MMSY). The State Health Agency (SHA) Punjab has launched a facility to download the card online via the official portal. There is no longer a need to visit a specific center to obtain a copy of the card. After completing e-KYC and photo-based verification, beneficiaries can download the health card to their mobile phones or obtain a printed copy. Records can be searched using the Family ID, Health Card Number, mobile number, or Aadhaar number to download the card.
Subsequently, secure verification will be conducted via OTP using details linked to the registered mobile number or Aadhaar. Upon successful authentication, the verified card will be available in PDF format. SHA Punjab has clarified that completing e-KYC and photo-based verification is mandatory for the beneficiary before downloading the card. Updated photographs of family members can also be verified.
Merely downloading the card is not a substitute for the verification process. This digital facility will reduce paperwork and unnecessary visits, while ensuring quick access to the card when needed. Under this scheme, eligible families are provided cashless health treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh per family annually.
