A truly heinous and shameful incident shattering the safety of innocent girls has come to light in the city. A depraved young man from the neighborhood subjected a three-year-old toddler to obscene acts and molestation with the intent of satisfying his lust.
**Accused Threatened the Child and Removed Her T-shirt**
To stifle the child’s screams, the accused covered her mouth with his hand and removed her T-shirt. Acting swiftly on the complaint filed by the child’s mother, the police registered a case against the accused neighbor under the POCSO Act and other serious sections, subsequently putting him behind bars. According to the official statement given to the police by the victim’s mother, her three-year-old daughter was near their home on September 7. Finding the child alone, a neighbor named Shankar Kumar grabbed her with malicious intent. He intimidated the child and removed her T-shirt. When the innocent girl began to scream in fear, the accused, Shankar Kumar, muffled her cries by placing his hand over her mouth and proceeded to commit obscene and heinous acts against her.
**Sobbing Child Revealed the Neighbor’s Depravity to Her Mother**
After the incident, the terrified child managed to escape his clutches and returned home, where she tearfully recounted the neighbor’s depraved actions to her mother. The family was devastated upon hearing about the atrocity committed against the innocent child. Without delay, they rushed to the local police station, lodged a written complaint against Shankar Kumar, and demanded strict legal action. Treating the complainant’s statements with the utmost seriousness, the police registered an FIR against the accused, Shankar Kumar, under non-bailable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. The investigating officer confirmed that, given the gravity of the matter, a police team conducted an immediate raid and arrested the accused, Shankar Kumar.
