The district administration has taken a major decision regarding the Shri Siddha Baba Sodhal Fair. A government holiday has been declared in Jalandhar district for Friday, September 25, in view of the fair. All government schools, colleges, and government offices in the district will remain closed on this day. According to the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar, this holiday has been announced specifically for the Shri Siddha Baba Sodhal Fair; consequently, there will be no regular operations in government institutions on September 25. It is worth noting that the Shri Siddha Baba Sodhal Fair is a major religious event in Jalandhar, attracting a large number of devotees every year from various parts of Punjab as well as other states. Preparations for the fair are already underway in the city.
The district administration is making arrangements regarding traffic management, security, and other essentials to ensure the convenience and safety of the devotees during the fair. With a large turnout of devotees expected, the administration is currently finalizing these arrangements. Due to this government holiday, normal activities in Jalandhar district’s government institutions will remain suspended on September 25.
