The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids in the Patiala and Mohali districts of Punjab on Wednesday. A raid was carried out at an office named ‘DM Web Solutions’ located at SCO 29, Urban Estate Phase 2, Patiala; the premises housed a call center operation.
A team of officials arrived in two vehicles and restricted the movement of people in and out of the premises after commencing the raid in the morning. Reports suggest that the call center operated round-the-clock. Between 15 and 20 officials are present at the site. Meanwhile, the ED also raided Plot No. 2010 in Sector 82A, Mohali; this raid is reportedly linked to an IPS officer.
According to reports, the ED received information during its investigation regarding overseas transactions amounting to approximately ₹250–300 crore. It was during this investigation that officials obtained leads pointing to Mohali.
The office in Patiala was run by the brother of the woman who owns the Mohali-based office. Authorities are investigating transactions routed through this office, which operated under the name ‘DM Web Solutions’.
This office previously operated under the name ‘Flying Feather’, but its name was changed to ‘DM Web Solutions’ a few months ago. The ‘Flying Feather’ office had been located in Chhoti Baradari, Patiala, but had also been shut down some time ago.
