Hooliganism outside Ludhiana DIG office: Car windows smashed and shots fired in the air; panic in the area

Date:

An incident involving hooliganism and the spreading of panic right in front of the offices of senior police officials has come to light in Ludhiana. Outside the DIG office—located in the Kailash police post area under the jurisdiction of Division No. 8—a group of youths launched a life-threatening attack on a man following a personal dispute.

The attackers first assaulted the victim, smashed his car windows, and fled the scene after firing shots into the air. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras; the footage clearly shows the attackers and their white Swift car. In the complaint lodged with the police, the victim, Sunny, stated that he had visited the DIG office with a friend. He parked his car outside and went inside to collect some accounting slips. When he returned a short while later, three Sikh youths and one clean-shaven youth were already waiting there. The accused began arguing with him.

Dispute over removing mechanics
According to the complaint, the youths questioned Sunny about why he had removed some mechanics from the spot. This led to a verbal altercation between the two parties. The dispute quickly escalated, and the youths began threatening to kill him. Subsequently, Paramjit Singh and two unidentified youths subjected him to verbal abuse and physical assault. One of the youths attacked him with a stick.

The victim alleges that the attackers also targeted his car, smashing its windows and causing damage. The accused then fled the scene in their white Swift car. Before escaping, they fired shots into the air, creating panic in the area. **Suspicion of Ferozepur Man Sending Assailants**
In the complaint lodged with the police, the victim has expressed strong suspicion regarding Ranbir Singh, a resident of Ghiniwala village in Ferozepur. He alleges that it was Ranbir Singh who sent the attackers with the intent to kill him. The police are currently investigating this allegation.

**Entire Incident Captured on CCTV**
CCTV footage that surfaced after the incident is proving to be a crucial lead for the police. Three assailants are clearly visible in the footage, and their white Swift car has also been captured on camera.

The police are now working to identify the attackers based on the footage. Following the complaint, the police have intensified the investigation and initiated raids at suspected locations. Officials state that efforts are underway to track down the assailants using the CCTV footage and other evidence.
