Husband pushes wife from second floor in Gurugram; she reveals the truth after regaining consciousness; accused arrested

Date:

In Gurugram, a husband pushed his wife off the second floor following a domestic dispute. The woman, who sustained severe injuries from the fall, passed away while undergoing treatment in Meerut.

Initially, the husband misled the police and family members by claiming that his wife had jumped on her own after an argument; however, upon regaining consciousness in the hospital, the woman told her maternal family that her husband had pushed her. The Gurugram Police registered a case of murder and arrested the accused husband.

**Police receive information**
According to the police, information was received at the Sector-14 police station on October 8 that 25-year-old Pallavi Yadav had been injured after falling from the second floor in Acharyapuri.

When the police team arrived at the hospital, they learned that the injured Pallavi Yadav had first been taken to the Civil Hospital and subsequently to Artemis Hospital, Gurugram. Her maternal family later took her to a private hospital in Meerut, where she died during treatment on Friday night.

**Husband’s conflicting account**
The woman was originally from Sadhu Nagar, Meerut. Initially, her husband, Dharmendra (alias Akash), claimed that on the night of October 7, following a heated domestic dispute, his wife had attempted suicide by jumping from the balcony. However, while undergoing treatment in Meerut, Pallavi told her mother that her husband had assaulted her and then pushed her off the balcony. Based on the complaint filed by Pallavi’s mother, the Sector-14 police registered a murder case.

**Thrown from the second floor**
The police arrested the accused from Meerut on Saturday evening. Interrogation revealed that Pallavi and Dharmendra had been married in December 2024. Both worked for different private companies in Gurugram.

On the night of October 7, as the dispute escalated, the accused assaulted her and threw her off the second floor; she died due to a severe head injury sustained in the fall. The accused will be taken on remand and interrogated.
