Protests are going on in Jalandhar against Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s film “Emergency”. Sikh organizations have told the cinema operators that this film should not be released in Punjab’s cinemas.
A protest was held outside PVR Cinema located in MBD Mall in Jalandhar on Thursday. Along with this, Sikh organizations told the employees working in the cinema – Emergency film should not be released in cinema halls. Let us tell you that the Emergency film is going to be released across the country from Friday i.e. today.
This protest was done by the organizations a day before the release of the film. Along with this, a memorandum was given to Jalandhar DCP Law and Order Ankur Gupta demanding that the film should not be released in theaters. The organizations said – If this film is released in any theater today, then it will be strongly opposed. The responsibility of which will be of the police administration and the mall manager.
The organizations said – Kangana has spoken abusive language about Sikhs
The organizations said – Protests were also held earlier against Kangana Ranaut regarding the film Emergency. After this, many scenes were also cut by the censor board, but Kangana Ranaut has spoken abusive language many times about the farmers’ movement and Punjab and Sikhs.
So even if the scenes are cut by the censor board, this film of Kangana Ranaut will not be allowed to be released anywhere in Punjab. The administration and the mall members have been warned about this. At the same time, if the film is released in any cinema hall today, it will be opposed by Sikh Jatkhedi today.
The report quoted a source associated with the production as saying, ‘After agreeing to all the conditions of the censor board, it will be released after the Punjab elections. This film is close to the heart of all of us and the audience must watch this film. Therefore, after much deliberation and to avoid hurting anyone’s sentiments, the entire team decided that its release date will be decided after the elections are over. At present, it is the best decision to release the film at a peaceful time.
