ED has raided Sector 16 in Panchkula on Thursday. ED has raided the residence of Vikas Bansal, a resident of Sector 16, Panchkula. Vikas Bansal had complained against former ED Assistant Director Vishaldeep. ED raid continues at the house of complainant Vikas Bansal.

Threat received from Lawrence Bishnoi gang
Vikas Bansal, a resident of Sector 16, Panchkula, in a complaint to Sector-14 police station on January 9, had said that on the complaint of his brother Rajneesh Bansal, the CBI had registered a case against Vishaldeep under the PC Act. In this case, Rs 1.25 crore has also been recovered from accused Vishaldeep’s brother Vikas Deep.
The complainant told that on January 3, at 4 pm, a person named Rohit Gurjar called his nephew Mannat and introduced himself as a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He told Mannat that what you and your family members are doing is not good.
The caller Rohit Gurjar asked to withdraw the complaint made against former ED Assistant Director Vishaldeep and threatened to kill him if he did not do so. He also demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.
The case is related to the scholarship scam of 181 crores
There was a scholarship scam of 181 crores in Himachal Pradesh during the year 2012-17. After the CBI investigation in this, a case was registered against 29 educational institutes of Himachal in 2019. Apart from this, ED had also registered a separate case in the matter.
Then the case was being investigated by ED Assistant Director Vishaldeep and during that time Vishaldeep was accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 2.5 crore. After this, the CBI team of Chandigarh registered a case and arrested Vishaldeep and his brother and cousin.
