Punjab Police is preparing to take action against those gangsters and criminals who were taken on remand by the police of other states, but have not returned to Punjab after that. Punjab Police has prepared a list of about 46 such accused. The process of bringing them back will start soon. Among these gangsters, 22 are associated with Lawrence-Goldy Brar gang, 10 Davinder Babihan Lucky Patial gang, 8 Harvinder Rinda-Lakhvir Landa gang and 4 Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and 4 Harry Chattha gang.
There is direct evidence of running syndicates from jails
According to senior police officials, all these accused are involved in cases like murder, extortion. The process of bringing them back is going on. They were taken on remand by jails of other states. In such a situation, they were successful in escaping from Punjab Police. But they are running their syndicates from jails. At the same time, now the police has made preparations to bring these accused to their jails. The police has evidence of their involvement in crimes from jails. For this, all the states are being contacted. At the same time, dossiers are being prepared to go to the courts of these states. Most of the gangsters are lodged in the jails of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttarakhand. They are also becoming helpers of terrorists.
Gangsters hiding abroad will also come to India
Punjab Police is now extraditing criminals from abroad and bringing them to India. Just a few days ago, it was reported that five accused including Shagunpreet Singh, who were involved in the strategy to murder Youth Akali leader Vikramjit Singh alias Vicky Middukhera, were abroad. Shagunpreet has even been the manager of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The court has ordered the Punjab Police in the order to find out about the said people and take action for their extradition. Earlier, Ramanjit Singh Romi, accused in the Nabha jail break case, was extradited in the month of August last year.
