Instructions issued for admission in class 1, 6 months relaxation in age; know what should be the age of the child

Children who are enrolled in pre-primary class and are going to be promoted to class 1 on April 1, will get the full benefit of the extended period. Even if the prescribed age limit is not completed on April 1, they will be promoted to class 1. They will not be pushed back for the whole year.

Admission will be done at the age of five and a half years

Let us tell you that earlier in Haryana, instructions were issued to give admission to children in class 1 only when they are six years old, but a relaxation of six months has been given in this. In the upcoming academic session, the child who has completed six years of age by April 1 will be given admission. But the child who will not be able to complete the age, will be given a relaxation of six months. So that his whole year is not wasted.

Under the New Education Policy, the age of admission in class 1 across the country has been fixed at six years. For the admission of the year 2023-24, the state government had fixed the age limit for admission in class 1 as five years and six months. But in the academic session of 2024-25, the admission limit has been fixed at six years.

In the orders issued by the Directorate of Education, it has been said that in the coming academic session, only those children will be eligible to take admission in Class 1 who will be six years of age on April 1.
