Cases are being registered against them. Cases under Section 24-25 of the Immigration Act have also been registered in various NRI police stations of the state. This includes Amritsar, Mohali, Ludhiana and Patiala districts.
Most cases were registered in Mohali, Jalandhar, Ludhiana. According to officials, if anyone works as a travel agent in Punjab, then it is necessary to take permission from the government.
