A Canadian woman arrived in Mohali, Punjab in search of her 5-year-old son. Camila Vilas made serious allegations against her husband Kapil and said that he has brought the child to India illegally.
Given the seriousness of the matter, the New Market Court of Canada has issued an international arrest warrant against Kapil. According to Camila, on August 8, 2024, the court had ordered Kapil to appear with son Valentino. But disregarding this, Kapil sold his house and company for 1 dollar and fled to India with his son.
At present, Kapil is living in a house in Kharar, Punjab. After the arrest warrant issued by Canadian Judge Dario on October 1, 2024, Interpol has also informed all the member countries about it. Camila made another shocking revelation and told that she is Kapil’s third wife.
Camila alleged that Kapil has already married two Indian women. After proposing marriage through a matrimonial website, Kapil took her to Canada, where Camila filed for divorce due to physical and mental torture. Currently, the divorce case of both is pending in the Canadian court.
Camila’s lawyer Abhinav Sood said that Kapil cannot stay in India for more than six months in an interval of 90 days on an Indian visa. Whereas Canadian citizens get visa-free entry in more than 70 countries. In such a situation, Kapil can flee from India to any other country.
The High Court sent notice to the government and the accused
According to Camila, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had issued a notice to the government and Kapil, after which she met DSP Kharar. But before the police action, Kapil fled to Panipat to his relatives.
Appealed to the administration in Panipat too, ordered to appear in court
Camila also reached Panipat and sought help from the administration there. After this, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and the police directed Kapil to appear in the High Court on February 17.
