There is a lot of activity to become the new Chief Secretary in Haryana. Lobbying has also started for this. 5 IAS officers are in the race to become the Chief Secretary of Haryana. Haryana Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi will now take over the responsibility of Election Commissioner. Let us tell you that Dr. Vivek Joshi is a senior IAS officer of 1989 batch.
After the appointment of Haryana Chief Secretary Dr. Vivek Joshi in the Election Commission of India, lobbying has started in the state for the new Chief Secretary. In the last 10 years, there has been a tradition of making the most senior IAS officer the Chief Secretary in the state.
In such a situation, five IAS officers of the 1990 batch are contenders to become the Chief Secretary, among whom Sudhir Rajpal and Dr. Sumita Mishra are at the top in seniority. Apart from this, Anurag Rastogi, Anand Mohan Sharan and Raja Shekhar Wundru of the same batch are in the race to become the Chief Secretary.
Anurag Rastogi is a strong contender
1989 batch IAS officer Dr Vivek Joshi will soon take over the new responsibility of Election Commissioner. Due to his appointment in the Election Commission, now a new Chief Secretary is to be appointed in the state.
On October 30, after the retirement of the then Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad, Joshi, who returned from deputation from the Central Government, was made the new Chief Secretary, but due to delay in his joining, Anurag Rastogi was given the responsibility of Chief Secretary for four days.
Anurag Rastogi, who is currently handling the Finance and Planning Department along with Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management and Finance Commissioner Revenue, is being considered a strong contender to become the new Chief Secretary on this basis.
Anyway, the Finance Commissioner Revenue, which is considered the second most important post in the government, has been made the Chief Secretary. However, Rastogi is retiring on June 30, due to which if the government wants to appoint the Chief Secretary for a long period, then his claim may weaken.
These people can also get the responsibility
After Joshi, Sudhir Rajpal is at the top of the seniority list, who has the responsibility of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research, AYUSH and Women and Child Development Department. If the Deputy Government follows the policy of the previous Manohar Government, then Sudhir Rajpal can become the new Chief Secretary.
Similarly, Home Secretary Dr. Sumita Mishra is also a strong contender. Anand Mohan Sharan, who is fourth in seniority, is going to retire on 31 August, which is an obstacle in his claim. At the same time, a lobby is gathered in support of Raja Shekhar Vundru of the same 1990 batch.
