Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu reached the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday to debate with him. Security officials did not let him go inside. They stopped him at the gate itself. Due to this, there was a scuffle and pushing between Bittu’s security and Chandigarh Police officials.
Chandigarh Police officials said that they did not have permission, so they stopped Bittu’s convoy. The officials tried to forcibly remove the driver of the pilot vehicle. Even after Bittu came out of the vehicle, the police officers kept arguing with the security officer. Bittu said, ‘I came here alone. They abused me. If you want to detain me, then do it. I will complain to the Home Department.’
Dispute over blocking the road
The video of the entire incident has also surfaced. In which the officers are saying that you have blocked the road. After this, there was a scuffle between the officers and the driver. The driver of the pilot vehicle tells the police officers that the Home Ministry has provided him (Bittu) security. How can we leave him alone? Who will be responsible if something happens to him? We have been sent by the Home Ministry.
We are doing our duty. It is our all India duty. On this the officer says that you do your duty and let us do our duty. You cannot block the road like this.
DSP said – Bittu did not have permission
Chandigarh Police DSP Udaypal said that Union Minister Ravneet Bittu was going to the residence of Punjab CM, when he was asked about permission to meet him, it was found that he did not have permission. After which he was not allowed to go ahead.
Punjab CM had called leaders for debate
Some time ago, a program was organized by CM Bhagwant Mann in Ludhiana regarding the issues of Punjab. In which leaders of all parties were invited. Chairs of prominent leaders of the parties were even placed on the stage, but no leader of any party had reached there. In such a situation, Bittu said that CM Bhagwant Mann keeps challenging him for a debate all the time. In such a situation, he was now going to meet him at his house. So that he could show him the real picture of Punjab.
Bitte said – false FIRs were registered against supporters
Bittu also said that some time ago false FIRs were registered against his supporters. Due to which he was put in trouble. He said that he had come to meet, but the CM does not want to answer his questions. That is why he was stopped.
Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu targeted former Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal. He said that Narayan Chaura attacked Sukhbir Badal, which is condemnable. He said that I used to tell Sukhbir Badal that people like Chaura are terrorists. These are snakes. They will bite even if you feed them milk. These people will bite whenever they come out of jail.
