In Chandigarh Police Department, transfer orders were issued for 2,763 policemen 7 months ago. But despite the transfer orders being issued from Police Headquarters Sector-9, they were not relieved. At present, there are 150 policemen inside the headquarters who have not been relieved even after the transfer orders.
They were stopped citing technical reasons, but despite this, there are many such employees who have not been transferred for a long time. Now the police department is going to review the need of such employees. In such a situation, the employees who are not found to be needed will be transferred as per the order.
If not needed, they will be relieved – SP
SP Headquarters Manjit Sheoran said that out of the employees who were transferred, the respective departments had demanded to stop the transfer of 40 to 50 employees citing need. At the same time, a total of 150 employees were not transferred despite the order due to technical reasons.
If those departments still need those police personnel, then their transfer orders will be cancelled, whereas if they are not needed, they will be relieved as per the order.
If not relieved after transfer, then action will be taken- DGP
2 thousand 763 employees have been transferred in Chandigarh Police Department. After this, both happiness and sadness can be seen on the faces of the police personnel. Policemen and inspectors made rounds to the officers in the police headquarters to stop the transfer of their favourites.
But the DGP has clearly said that action will be taken against any policeman who does not join the transferred place. In this transfer, favourite personnel who were working for many years with the headquarters, reader staff, DSP and SHO were replaced.
