The hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal at the Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana has entered the 102nd day. At the same time, his health is deteriorating once again. His feet are swelling, there is a lack of water in the body, and more water is coming out through urine. He has also stopped getting drips. A team of doctors is keeping an eye on him. On the other hand, in this matter, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading has now cornered the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP. He has questioned why both the parties are silent in this matter?
“Farmers do not deserve empty slogans and trust”
Vading has written in a post on his Facebook – Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s hunger strike has completed 101 days, yet both the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP are completely silent. This attitude towards the legitimate demands of the farmers exposes their anti-farmer mentality. Both parties have built their political story on false promises, but when it comes to real action, no concrete steps are taken.
PM Narendra Modi shows a friendly attitude towards Punjab during elections, but continues to implement policies against farmers. Similarly, CM Bhagwant Mann also deserves the respect and felicitation of farmers, not empty slogans and hollow assurances.
