Only brotherhood works in these elections… If we had one seat (in local bodies) and we lost, the result would have been harmful for us… Mostly independent candidates contest in these elections.
BJP gets 9 mayors in Haryana
After the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won nine mayor posts in the municipal elections on Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the local body government and the triple engine government at the state level will play an important role in realizing the vision of a developed India.

Reaction of Parveen Joshi elected from Faridabad
Earlier, Parveen Joshi, elected for the post of Mayor from Faridabad, on Wednesday expressed gratitude to the people and said that she is aware of the difficulties and needs faced by the people. Emphasizing on resolving the problems of the people, she apprised the people of the assurances given by Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar and said that there will be no hindrance in implementing the schemes for the people.

Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar has assured that we will work together and there will be no hindrance in the implementation of the schemes. The Haryana Election Commission website declared BJP’s Praveen Joshi as the winner of the mayor post. He defeated Congress’ Lata Rani by a margin of 3,16,852 votes.
