A delegation of 72 teachers from Punjab government schools will leave for Finland today (March 15) for training. This training program will be of two weeks. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself will meet the team and send them off.
On this occasion, a function has been organized at the CM residence in Chandigarh at 10:30 am, in which Education Minister Harjot Singh will also participate. The government’s objective is to provide high-quality education to the students studying in schools through this training program and eliminate the fear of the classroom.
One week training took place in Punjab
This is the second batch of the Punjab government, which is being sent for training. Under this program, the government has signed an agreement (MoU) with Turku University. Under which one week training of teachers will be held in Punjab and two weeks training in Finland. The government is developing 132 schools in the state as “School of Happiness”. The “School of Happiness” project has started from Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Teachers under 43 years of age for training
The teachers who are being sent for training by the government are still a long way from retirement. The government had fixed the maximum age of teachers to join the training as 43 years. The government had clearly stated that their age should be 43 years or less by 31 January 2025. The maximum age for HT, CHT and BPEO posts has been fixed at 48 years.
Applicants must have a valid Indian passport till September 2025. There should not be any case or investigation against them. Teachers of government schools in Punjab, which is under the Aam Aadmi Party government, have been given training from many renowned places including Singapore, IIM Ahmedabad.
