There was a ruckus in the assembly for the second consecutive day over the irregularities in the recruitment of police inspectors in the year 2008 in the government of former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda. The situation reached such a point that Hooda said that if such false allegations are made in the House, he will resign from this House.
As soon as the question hour ended on Wednesday, BJP MLA Om Prakash Yadav said that yesterday also a serious matter of irregularities in inspector recruitment was raised in the House. I want a clear answer on this, otherwise I will have to walk out of the House. On hearing this, the opposition started creating ruckus.
Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan said that the government has already responded to this, but the ruckus continued from both sides. Meanwhile, Hooda took charge and while reading out the court’s decision, said that there is nothing suspicious in it. The government has commented wrongly on the court’s decision.
The High Court did not say anything that would raise questions on the recruitment of inspectors recruited by the previous government. Seeing the ruckus increasing, Chief Minister Naib Saini stood up. He said that Amit Kumar, a resident of Panipat, had filed a petition in the High Court regarding irregularities in recruitment.
The Chief Minister said that an inquiry will be conducted
The petitioner had topped the written exam but was thrown out after giving him low marks in the interview. While giving the verdict in the case, the court has said that if the petitioner is not satisfied with this decision, then it is his right to appeal.
The petitioner alleges that in this case two candidates named Arjun Rathi and Deepak did not even appear for the written exam and submitted blank answer sheets. The Chief Minister, citing the High Court’s verdict, even talked about getting it investigated. The uproar continued for a long time, due to which the discussion on the budget could not even start.
You cannot discuss the court’s decision in the assembly: Hooda
Many allegations have been made against you too Hooda told the Chief Minister that you cannot discuss the court’s decision in the assembly. Many allegations have been made against you too. After the High Court, there is the Supreme Court. If such false allegations are to be made, then I resign from the House.
On this, the Chief Minister said that you can say whatever you want. This is a matter of system, if injustice has been done to someone, then the court has commented on it. The controversy increased further when Transport Minister Anil Vij said that the decision of the High Court read out by Hooda and the CM makes it clear that Hooda has hidden some points. Now this matter is not going on in the court but the decision has come. Therefore, discussion can be done. After a lot of uproar, the Speaker of the Assembly calmed down all the members and made them sit and after about 15 minutes the proceedings of the House resumed.
The government will take opinion from the Advocate General in this entire matter
The CM said that according to the decision of the High Court, the court cannot work as an investigating agency. The petitioner has the right to appeal against the decision of the court. The committee has asked to get the handwriting samples of Arjun Rathi and Deepak examined by some agency.
The government will take opinion from the Advocate General in this entire matter. If, in compliance with the court order, the HSSC wants to get their handwriting samples tested by a particular agency, the government is ready to provide the services immediately.
