Faridkot State has been a symbol of prosperity
Faridkot State, which has movable and immovable assets worth thousands of crores of rupees, has been a symbol of prosperity. The rulers of the state were close to the Mughal emperor in the initial period and later became close to the British. Due to this closeness, the small state became the owner of immense wealth. During the First World War, the state not only gave loans to the British government but also provided soldiers and equipment to participate in the battle.
The kings of the state did a lot of work on education, health, environment, electricity, drinking water and beautiful buildings, which are still an inspiration for the people. The technology that the state had adopted for the drainage of dirty water from the city and the supply of drinking water to the people,
modern technology has not been able to find a solution to it even today.
Begging was banned in the state
The last king of Faridkot state, Harinder Singh, became famous as a good manager. He had completely banned begging in his state. At the time of partition of the country, he did not allow a single riot, looting or murder to take place in his state. The families going to Pakistan were sent with complete security.
