CM Mann said – we will fight this war together
CM Bhagwant Mann says that we will fight together against drugs, because unless the common people join the campaign, it cannot be successful. That is why the CM helpline was started, on which any person can give information related to drug trafficking. DGP Gaurav Yadav says that the CM himself monitors the information coming on this helpline. He also takes a report about what action was taken on those complaints.
The campaign was started 59 days ago
The Punjab government started this campaign about 59 days ago. In this campaign, the government has also focused on the fact that action should be taken against the guilty people and that the drug addicts should get proper treatment. For this, a high power committee of five ministers was formed in the first phase. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema was made the head of the committee. This committee is visiting every district and taking stock of the district officers, hospitals and de-addiction centers. Apart from this, awareness programs are being organized.
The police is working on three methods
1. The hawala network involved in this work is being eliminated. So far 31 hawala operators have been arrested and more than eight crore rupees have been seized. Pak smugglers and Indian hawala operators have also been arrested.
2. Attaching property under 268A: Property built from the money earned from drugs is being attached.
3 Illegal violation of government land or building: Government land or building is being illegally violated by drug smugglers. Action is being taken against them and they will be demolished here.
