Panchkula resident 8-year-old Aryan and his sister 9.5-year-old Enaya are ready to climb Mount Everest Base Camp with a message against drug abuse. On April 30, both the children will leave for Nepal from Delhi and then start the difficult journey to Mount Everest Base Camp.
While the increasing trend of drug abuse in the state remains a matter of concern, these small children have set a unique example and shown that great passion is not dependent on age. Behind this inspiring initiative is the important contribution of Haryana Police Department’s DSP (Law and Order) Mamta Sauda, whose son Aryan and niece Enaya are ready for this adventurous journey.
Has conquered many high peaks before
Talking about Aryan, at the age of just eight years, he has already hoisted his flag on many high peaks. This includes Haryana’s Pro Pick Peak, Shivalik Range’s Chood Dhar Peak, Manali’s 14,100 feet high Bhrigu Lake climb and victory over Khardungla Pass. On the other hand, Anaya is not only a promising student, but has also performed well in gymnastics.
Big preparation at a young age for a big goal
Anaya has also taken inspiration from her aunt Mamta Sauda and has decided to climb to the Everest Base Camp. Both the children said that they have made special preparations to deal with difficult conditions and weather changes. They will go to Nepal by flight from Delhi and start climbing from there. Under normal circumstances, it can take 14 to 16 days to reach the base camp, although this time can increase a little if the weather is bad.
Not afraid of challenges
Both Aryan and Anaya said that they are not afraid of any challenge. Their aim is not only to reach the Everest Base Camp, but also to inspire the youth to stay away from drugs and dream big. This initiative of these two young bravehearts has emerged as an inspiration not only for Haryana but for the entire country.
