‘Haryana has taken more water than its share, now will not give even a drop’, AAP leader Deepak Bali’s attitude hardens

Date:

Jalandhar. Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Deepak Bali has said that Punjab does not have any extra water to give to Haryana.

Haryana is trying to take water for irrigation by lying about drinking water. Punjab will not give even a drop of water to Haryana now and if the central government pushes, then a tough fight will be done.

Attack on CM Naib Saini

While talking to the media at the local circuit house, Deepak Bali said that the decision regarding the division of water has been taken before the birth of Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini. Now Naib Singh Saini wants to take more water than his share by lying. The head of BBMB has been changed by putting pressure through the central government.

Deepak Bali said that now Punjab does not have even a drop of extra water to give to Haryana. At present, there is 39 feet less water in Punjab’s Ranjit Sagar Dam and 25 feet less water in Pong Dam as compared to last year.

Haryana has taken more water than its share: Deepak Bali

He said that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Central Government has announced that not even a drop of water will be given to Pakistan. Acting on such announcement, the water should be given to Haryana.

He said that if the Central Government is concerned about Haryana instead of Punjab, then Yamuna river originates from Haryana and the Central Government should give Yamuna water to Haryana. Deepak Bali said that Haryana is already taking more water from Bhakra Dam and at present has taken more water than its share.

He said that this is not acceptable for Punjab. To save groundwater, the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab has put 78 percent of the canals in working condition, so that canal irrigation can be given preference while saving groundwater.
