Salhawas. Police team has arrested the accused of killing 23-year-old Himanshu alias Nidhi in a house in village Dharauli on Sunday night. He has been identified as Narendra, a resident of Dhudkavas village in Rewari district. Initial investigation revealed that Narendra was holding a grudge against Nidhi for refusing to marry him. That is why he committed this crime. The accused had brought two bottles of petrol with him which he used to burn Nidhi to death. However, in this incident of arson, both hands and mouth of Narendra are also burnt. Nidhi’s elder sister Komal is also undergoing treatment at PGI Rohtak due to burns. Presenting the accused in the court, the police has taken him on five-day remand.
Sudden fire in the house
Police station manager inspector Dilbagh said that on April 28, Rajkumar, a resident of village Dharauli, told in the complaint that his uncle Ajit son Mangeram has two daughters. The elder daughter is married Komal who lives with her younger sister Himanshu alias Nidhi at her father’s house in Dharauli village.
Himanshu and Komal were sleeping in the house on the night of 27 April when suddenly the house caught fire. Nidhi died on the spot. While her sister Komal was burnt and is undergoing treatment at Rohtak PGI. On this information, the spot was inspected by the top police officials and the FSL team was called on the spot and evidence was collected from the spot. Also, during the investigation, two smelly plastics were recovered from the spot.
The cousin had already expressed the apprehension
On April 28, Nidhi’s cousin Rajkumar had told that when he came to know about the incident at night, Komal was talking perfectly fine. Both her hands were burnt. Nidhi was lying near the burnt cot. She had called Tej Singh.
Nidhi’s family members told that there was a discussion with Tej Singh’s elder brother Narendra to send her, but he refused to do so. Due to this enmity, Narendra committed the crime.
