Death of a bike rider in Muktsar: collided with a parked pickup, driver put the injured in the vehicle, threw him near the drain and fled


Malout | A person died in a road accident in Muktsar district of Punjab. He was returning on a motorcycle after taking medicine from Bathinda. During this, his bike collided with a parked pickup. The pickup driver threw the injured near the drain instead of treating him.

According to the information, the deceased has been identified as Shivraj Singh, a resident of village Kauni. The incident happened last night. Shivraj was returning on a motorcycle after taking medicine from Bathinda. His bike collided with a parked pickup near village Dhulkot. He was seriously injured in the accident. Pickup driver Arshdeep Singh put him in the vehicle and assured to take him to the hospital.

Fled from the spot after putting dry grass

Arshdeep also contacted Shivraj’s family over the phone. But instead of getting him treated, he threw the injured Shivraj near a drain on Bathinda-Muktsar road. He fled from the spot after putting dry grass on Shivraj.

The family kept searching for the deceased all night

The family kept searching for Shivraj all night. In the morning his body was found near the drain. According to DSP Avtar Singh Rajpal, a case will be registered after the post-mortem based on the statement of the deceased’s father Jarnail Singh.
