Ludhiana | The final voter list has been published after a special brief revision in view of the upcoming by-elections in Ludhiana West Assembly constituency (64). This list has been prepared keeping in view the eligibility date of 01 April 2025 as per the schedule announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
District Election Officer Himanshu Jain handed over copies of the final voter list to the representatives of recognized political parties under the guidelines of the ECI.
Total number of voters and polling stations
Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C informed that as per the revised voter list, there are a total of 1,74,437 voters in Ludhiana West constituency. These include 89,602 men, 84,825 women and 10 third gender voters. The number of polling stations has been made rotational to 192, making the voting process more convenient for citizens.
Sibin C informed that during the revision process, a list of claims and objections was prepared and draft and final voter lists were shared with political parties. This process has been prepared with complete transparency.
A special meeting was held to inform the representatives of political parties about this process, in which they were explained in detail about all the provisions and procedures.
With this revised voter list, preparations for the upcoming by-elections in Ludhiana West Assembly constituency have been completed. This step is an important effort towards strengthening and making the democratic process transparent.
