FIR against those who returned the goods of farmers: Jagjit Singh Dallewal said, “At some places in Patiala, people have recovered trolleys from the leaders, their close ones and police personnel of Khanauri border. Our demand was that action should be taken against the culprits in these cases and FIRs should be registered. FIRs were registered at some places, but now the situation is that instead of taking action against the culprits, cases are being registered against those who found and returned the goods of the farmers.”
Action should be taken against SHO: He further said, “When our movement was going on, at that time DGP sahab had assured that the goods and losses of the farmers would be compensated. But now it seems that the government is going back on its word. Regarding this, the police station will be surrounded on May 6 at Shambhu border. Action has also been demanded regarding the behavior of SHO.”
How long will the dictatorship continue: Dallewal alleged, “The government is so scared that it is not even allowing people to gather and puts them in jail so that they cannot demand justice. How long will this dictatorship continue? The general public will have to stand up against it, otherwise justice will never be available in the future.”
DGP should keep his promise: The farmer leader said, “The government should have called us and asked why we are protesting. Our demands are clear, but not allowing us to protest is not justice? Our demand is that action should be taken against the officers who misbehaved with the farmers during the protest. The second demand is that the promise made by the DGP should be fulfilled and the farmers’ losses should be compensated.”On March 19, the leaders were taken into custody and the border should be cleared
