After the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the situation in Chandigarh has now become normal. After this, domestic and international flights have been restored from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, which was closed for 5 days.

In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, civil flights were banned at Chandigarh Airport from Wednesday. This decision was taken due to security reasons and the operation was handed over to the Air Force. However, after the ceasefire situation between the two countries on Saturday evening, the situation has now become normal.

According to sources, some technical flights have been allowed since Sunday and now after the meeting on Monday, regular civil flights have also been restored. Airlines companies have also started preparations for operations.

On normal days, about 104 flights are operated daily from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, out of which about 50 are domestic and 2 international flights. About 15 thousand passengers travel from the airport daily. Due to the ban on civil operations, the plans of thousands of passengers were affected.
