Last night, an encounter took place between the police and the criminals in Zirakpur, Mohali. Two criminals were injured in the firing by the police. Jalandhar CIA team and a joint team of Mohali police have arrested both of them. The police were looking for them in the murder that took place in Jalandhar on May 10. However, in an attempt to escape, both of them first tried to run over the police personnel with their car. Then they opened fire.
Gaurav and Akash were shot in the legs in the retaliatory firing by the police. They have been admitted to the hospital by the police. Police say that the matter is under investigation.
They were absconding since the murder on May 10
According to the police, a case was registered in Basti Sheikh police station of Jalandhar on May 10. Some accused had brutally shot a girl to death. Since then, the accused were absconding. The CIA Jalandhar team had received input in this case. After this, the link of the accused was found in the Micro Plaza area of Zirakpur area. Then the police of Jalandhar and Dhakoli police station conducted a joint operation.

During this, the accused tried to run over the police party with their car and then fired at the police. After this, the police fired back in defense, in which Akash and Gaurav were injured. Both have been sent to the hospital for treatment. According to the police, both are involved in many incidents. The police is now trying to find out in which other incidents they are involved.

Zirakpur is becoming a safe place for criminals, there are three main reasons for this. One is the location of the area is very good. On one side is Punjab, on the other side is Haryana and on the third side is Himachal. In such a situation, it is easy for criminals to escape from here. Secondly, there are a large number of flats built here, where people easily get flats on rent.
Thirdly, since most of the people are working, no one keeps an eye on the criminals. In many cases, the landlords do not even get the police verification of such people done. If we talk about the last one year, many notorious criminals have been caught not only by the police of Punjab but also by the police of Delhi, Haryana and Uttarakhand.
