Another WhatsApp chat of Hisar YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested on suspicion of spying for Pakistan, with an officer of the Pakistani intelligence agency has surfaced. Hasan Ali tells Jyoti, “Jo yaar, my heart always prays that you stay happy. You should always be cheerful, no sorrow will come in your life.” To this, Jyoti told Hasan with a laughing emoji, “Get me married in Pakistan.”
At the same time, Jyoti had gone to Pathankot a year ago. However, she did not make any video related to traveling there. But, the photo and small clip shared on Facebook revealed her visit there. After which the team of National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) took her to Pathankot on Tuesday (May 20).
NIA has considered her Pathankot visit suspicious. It is speculated that she had come here for the purpose of reconnaissance of the Army Cantonment and Airbase. After Operation Sindoor, the Pakistani Army had tried to target the Army Cantonment and Airbase in Pathankot. There has been an attack here in 2016 as well.
What came out in Jyoti’s interrogation and investigation
Transactions from Dubai found in account: In forensic investigation, things related to the army have been found in Jyoti’s mobile. Along with this, transactions from Dubai were also found in the bank account. A YouTuber from Jammu and Kashmir was also brought to Chandigarh by the police there. He was also questioned in front of Jyoti.
Deleted chats during Operation Sindoor: It also came to light that after Operation Sindoor, she had chatted with Danish, an officer of the Pakistani Embassy. Apart from the siren sounding in it, she also shared the blackout message sent to the administration people with Danish. But, after this, that chat was deleted.
Sent videos of Golden Temple and tourist spots: It also came to light that Jyoti had sent videos of Golden Temple and tourist spots of Kashmir along with the location to Pakistani agents through encrypted mediums like WhatsApp, Snap Chat and Telegram. NIA has interrogated Jyoti for three days. Her remand is ending on 22nd May. She will be presented in Hisar court.
A special pattern in Jyoti’s travel videos
While investigating Jyoti in Chandigarh, the NIA team has seen a special kind of pattern in her travel videos. Most of the videos on her YouTube channel ‘Travel with Joe’ are of religious tourism. However, instead of information about religious places in these videos, she has focused more on the security there. This was especially seen more in the videos of border areas.
After this, the NIA and IB teams have also started investigating the videos of her Pakistan, China, Indonesia, Dubai, Thailand, Nepal and Bhutan visits. According to police sources, the NIA can take Jyoti’s espionage case completely in its hands, so that this matter related to national security can be investigated thoroughly.
Diary found from Jyoti’s house, wrote – Got a lot of love in Pakistan
Investigative agencies have also found a diary from Jyoti’s house. In which she wrote, “I have returned from Pakistan after a 10-day trip. During this time, I got a lot of love from the people of Pakistan. Our subscribers and friends also came to meet us. The 2 days I got to visit Lahore was too less.
I don’t know how long the border distances will remain. The more you say about Pakistan’s buses and trucks, the less it will be. Crazy and colourful. I request the Pakistan government to open more routes for Indians to Gurudwaras and temples and create facilities so that Hindu people can also visit there. They can meet those who were separated from their families in 1947.” The diary shows that Jyoti was learning Urdu along with Hindi.
So far, 5 people have been arrested from Haryana on charges of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. After Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, those Indian YouTubers, especially those belonging to Haryana, who have visited Pakistan are being searched the most on Google.
