The National Security Act (NSA) imposed for the third time on Khalistan supporter and Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh, who is lodged in Dibrugarh jail in Assam, will now be challenged in the High Court. Preparations have been made by the family for this.
The family argues that Amritpal Singh is not being allowed to come out of jail as part of a conspiracy. All parties are worried about Amritpal Singh’s growing popularity. NSA has been removed from all his associates. All of them were brought to Punjab only last month. Also, now legal cases are also going on against them.

The family says that once you put Amritpal in jail. Now various allegations are being made against the person sitting inside the jail. He said that they want to tell the government that in such a situation, what is the benefit of keeping him inside the jail. These things are very unconstitutional. Then he said that he is very dangerous. If he comes out of jail, there will be a lot of damage. Whereas he has won the election with the highest number of votes in the whole of Punjab.
The family said that he is a threat to political parties and not to anyone else. Their political ground is slipping. That is why they are preparing such a ground. Amritpal’s lawyer Amritpal’s case may have started from anywhere, but now it has become a matter of freedom of expression.
Amritpal is in custody since April 2023
Amritpal Singh is in custody since 23 April 2023. Immediately after his arrest, NSA was imposed on him and he was sent to Dibrugarh jail in Assam. The government imposed NSA, calling his activities a threat to the security of the state. Which was extended from time to time for two years.
