CET notification in Haryana, registration for 16 days from tomorrow: Passing it will get you a government job; Know about age limit, passing marks

Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has released the notification for Common Eligibility Test (CET). Tomorrow i.e. from 11.59 pm on 28th May, youth will be able to apply for one time registration. Its last date is till 11.59 pm on 12th June. That is, the youth will get only 16 days to apply. Candidates can deposit their fees till 6 pm on 14th June.

However, the date of when the CET exam will be held has not been released. However, it has been clarified in the notification that the CET exam will be of 100 marks. For this, one hour 45 minutes will be given.

Recruitment in Group C and D in Haryana Government is done through CET only. CET exam has not been conducted for the last 3 years. Due to which the youth are deprived of government jobs. The government estimates that 31 lakh youth can give CET exam.

1. Question: How much education is required to give CET?

Answer: For Group C posts, it is necessary to have passed at least 10th and 12th, or have a degree equivalent to 10th. If you have any other diploma or certificate, that can also be useful. Apart from this, any youth who does not fulfill the educational qualification by the last date of registration but can complete it in the year 2025, will also be eligible for CET.

2. Question: What is the age limit for CET?

Answer: By the last date of registration, your age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 42 years. If you fall into a special category according to government rules, then you can get age relaxation.

3. Question: What will be the paper in CET?

Answer: Its paper will be of the level of Senior Secondary i.e. 12th. However, the level of English and Hindi subjects will be of Matriculation i.e. 10th level. The exam will be on OMR sheet. This sheet will be given by HSSC in the exam center. In which you will have to fill the circles by choosing the correct option. This exam will not be done on computer.

4. Question: In which language will the paper be, how many questions will it have?

Answer: The paper will be in 2 languages ​​i.e. Hindi and English. There will be 100 questions in the paper. There will be 4 options for every question. You will have to choose the correct answer from them and circle the number of the correct option on the OMR sheet. It will be mandatory to answer every question. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. If a youth does not want to answer, then he will have to mark the 5th circle or bubble. If this is not done and the answer to any question is left blank, then 1 mark will be deducted.

5. Question: How many marks will the paper be, how much time will be given for it?

Answer: There will be a total of 100 questions in the paper. Each question will be of one mark. You will get 1 hour 45 minutes to complete it. Once the center is allotted, it will not be changed.

6. Question: How many percent marks will be required to clear CET?

Answer: If you are in the general category, then you will have to score 50% marks. If you are in a reserved category like SC, ST and OBC, then you will have to score 40% marks.

7. Question: When will the admit cards for CET be available?

Answer: Admit cards can be downloaded from the CET website. However, HSSC says that they will tell separately about when this will happen.

8. Question: Why has the date of CET exam not been announced, when will it happen?

Answer: HSSC says that it will be told separately later. Since CET is being held in the state after 3 years. In such a situation, lakhs of youth can participate in it. Therefore, it is believed that the commission will first take applications and see the count of applicants. Then a decision will be taken further on whether it is to be done in a single day or phase wise.

9. Question: What documents will be required for application?

Answer: For general category, scanned copy of education certificate, applicant’s photo, signature, Aadhar card, family identity card (if applicable) and undertaking will be required. For reserved category, scanned copy of certificate related to reservation will also have to be attached.

Important information for reserved category related to CET notification

In this exam, DSC and OSC, BCA (non-creamy layer), BCB (non-creamy layer), EWS, ESP, PwD and ESM will get the benefit of reservation. However, they should be residents of Haryana.

Youth of BCA, BCB and EWS category should have a certificate on or after 1 April 2025 but before the closure of registration.

For youth belonging to the family of Ex Serviceman (ESM), the eligibility certificate should be issued or renewed on or after 13 June 2024 or before the date of closure of registration.

Even if the candidates from other states are from the reserved category, they will be considered in the general category.

CM Saini has also announced recruitment on 7,596 posts

Earlier, CM Naib Saini has announced government recruitment on 7,596 posts in Haryana. This recruitment will be for Group D posts through Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). Whose advertisement will be released soon. For the first time, reservation will be given to Disadvantaged Scheduled Caste (DSC) and Other Scheduled Caste (OSC) category. According to the government, out of the total posts, 1209 posts will be reserved for these 2 castes. Common Eligibility Test (CET) scores will also be used in their selection.

According to the government spokesperson, 605 posts have been reserved for Disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (DSC) and 604 posts for Other Scheduled Castes (OSC) in Group-D recruitment. The government spokesperson further said that soon the government will also make provision for reservation in recruitment for Backward Classes – A Category (BCA), Backward Classes – B Category (BCB), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Divyang (PH), Eligible Sports Person (ESP), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) etc.
