The Common Entrance Test (CET) for Group C recruitment in Haryana may be held in the last week of next month i.e. July. Instead of a single day, this exam will be held in 2 or 3 days. On Thursday, a meeting was held in Chandigarh under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of the state Anurag Rastogi.
In which the preparations for the CET exam were discussed with the DC and SP of all the districts. After which the Chief Secretary said that everyone has been asked to conduct the examination in a free, fair, smooth and transparent manner.
He informed that 13 lakh 48 thousand 697 applications have been received for CET-2025. In view of this, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has been asked to conduct this exam in two to three days.
In view of the possibility of the paper next month, the Chief Secretary has asked all the Deputy Commissioners to identify the examination centers within the next 3 days. After this, it has been asked to give its report by Monday.
In the meeting, HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh issued a detailed SOP with all the Deputy Commissioners regarding the selection of examination centers, according to which the selection and arrangements will be made in them.
In this meeting, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education Department Vineet Garg, Commissioner and Secretary of Transport Department T.L. Satyaprakash and senior officers of various departments were present.

The paper will be of 12th level: The Haryana CET paper will be of the level of Senior Secondary i.e. 12th. However, the level of English and Hindi subjects will be of Matriculation i.e. 10th level. The exam will be on OMR sheet. This sheet will be given by HSSC in the exam center. In this, you have to fill the circles by choosing the correct option. This exam will not be on the computer.
The paper will be in both Hindi-English languages: The CET paper will be in 2 languages i.e. Hindi and English. There will be 100 questions in the paper. Each question will have 4 options. By choosing the correct answer from these, you will have to circle the number of the correct option on the OMR sheet. It will be mandatory to answer every question. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. If a youth does not want to answer, he will have to mark the 5th circle or bubble. If this is not done and the answer to any question is left blank, then 1 mark will be deducted.
The paper will be of 1 hour 45 minutes: There will be a total of 100 questions in the CET paper. Each question will be of one mark. 1 hour 45 minutes will be given to complete it. Once the center is allotted, it will not be changed. If you are in the general category, then you have to score 50% marks. If you are in a reserved category like SC, ST and OBC, then you have to score 40% marks.
Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) had given time till 14 June 2025 to do one-time registration for Group C CET. By late night this registration crossed 13 lakh. That is, more than 13 lakh people registered through One Time Password (OTP), but only about 12 lakh of them were able to submit their documents.
