Big update regarding CET in Haryana, exam will be held in a schedule of two to three days next month; 13 lakh applications received

Haryana is preparing to conduct the General Eligibility Test (CET) in July for recruitment to Class III posts (Haryana CET Exam 2025). 13 lakh 48 thousand 697 youth have applied for the CET. In view of this, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has proposed to conduct the examination in a time period of two to three days.

Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi held a meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police on Thursday to review the preparations for the CET for the recruitment of Class III and IV posts. The Chief Secretary, who was taking a meeting with HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh, directed to ensure that the examination is conducted in a free, fair, smooth and transparent manner.

Along with this, the Deputy Commissioners were asked to start the process of identifying suitable examination centers in their respective districts within the next three days. The Chief Secretary said that the examination centers should be selected keeping in mind security, logistics, transport access and capacity to accommodate the candidates.

The Deputy Commissioner should get all these centers inspected by senior police and civil administration officials. A detailed report of the list of proposed centers should be sent to both the Chief Secretary’s Office and the HSSC Chairman’s Office by Monday.

The Chief Secretary reiterated the government’s commitment to maintain the sanctity of the recruitment process and said that no lapse or irregularity will be tolerated in this matter.

HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh said that a detailed SOP has been shared with all the Deputy Commissioners regarding the selection of examination centers. Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education Department Vineet Garg and Commissioner and Secretary of Transport Department TL Satyaprakash also gave important suggestions in the meeting.
