Terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), an organization running the Khalistan Referendum campaign, has threatened comedian Kapil Sharma and his Caps Cafe in Surrey, Canada. Terrorist Pannu has released a video message and not only claimed that the firing incident was suspicious, but also threatened Kapil Sharma to leave Canada by calling him a ‘Hindutva investor’.
Terrorist Pannu said in his video message – We give a clear message to Kapil Sharma and the rest of the Modi-supporting investors, this country (Canada) is not your playground. Take your money and go back to India. The ideology of Hindutva will not be allowed to spread in Canada under the guise of business.
Pannu spewed venom against India on the pretext of firing
Pannu said about the firing at Kapil’s cafe that it was a political protest. This is a warning against the growing influence of Hindutva in Canada. Kapil Sharma, who says ‘Mera Bharat Mahaan’, why is he not investing in Modi’s India? Is Caps Cafe just a comedy cafe or part of a strategy to expand Hindutva globally?
Who is Gurpatwant Singh Pannu?
Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is originally from Khankot in Punjab. He currently lives in the US and runs an organization called Sikh for Justice. He has citizenship of both the US and Canada.
The Indian government banned Pannu’s organization SFJ in 2019 under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) on charges of carrying out terrorist activities. Under the guise of referendum for Sikhs, SFJ was supporting separatism and extremist ideology in Punjab.
Pannu was accused of promoting separatism and encouraging Punjabi Sikh youth to take up arms in the year 2020. After this, the central government declared Pannu a terrorist under UAPA on 1 July 2020. According to media reports, this was the main target of this alleged conspiracy. However, there is no mention of this in the FBI charge sheet.
