Ludhiana: To reduce traffic jams and possible accidents outside the city’s schools, school operators have been instructed to deploy 10-10 traffic marshals or volunteers during the opening and closing of schools.
For this, Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma held a meeting with the operators and representatives of the city’s major schools in his office. In the meeting, clear instructions have been given to the school operators to deploy 10 traffic marshals or volunteers to assist in traffic management to reduce traffic jams during the opening and closing of schools.
The said marshals will be deployed by the schools and will work in collaboration with the traffic and PCR officers of Ludhiana Police. They have been given a week’s time to complete this task. Also, the school management has been instructed to prevent any kind of unauthorized parking in their area.
