Jalandhar: Fauja Singh, who was known as the world’s oldest runner, was hit by a speeding car recently, due to which he died during treatment. In this case, the police took strict action and arrested an NRI from Canada.
According to the information, in Fauja Singh’s hit and run case, the police have recovered the Fortuner car and the NRI Amritpal Singh Dhillon who was driving it has been arrested. It is being told that at the time of the accident, Amritpal Singh, who had returned from Canada, was driving the vehicle himself. He is a resident of Kartarpur area of Kapurthala. Amritpal had bought this car two years ago from Ravinder Singh, a resident of Kapurthala. The police arrested him from Kartarpur late at night.
Amritpal Singh confessed the crime
According to sources, Amritpal Singh has confessed his crime during the interrogation conducted by the police. He told that he was returning home after selling his mobile from Bhogpur on Monday afternoon. The car was moving at a high speed and he collided with a person. After the collision, he got scared and fled from the spot.
