Punjab: BSF and police have recovered a huge consignment of heroin in Punjab. During a joint search operation conducted by BSF and Ferozepur Police on the Indo-Pak border, 15 packets of heroin brought from Pakistan have been recovered. According to the information received, the agencies had come to know that a large consignment of heroin has been ordered by Indian smugglers from Pakistani smugglers in the area of Tendi Wala village.
On the basis of this confidential information, as per the instructions of BSF officials and SSP Ferozepur Bhupinder Singh D Sidhu, a joint search operation was conducted by the police of Sadar Ferozepur police station, where these 15 packets of heroin were recovered.
According to the information, the value of the seized heroin is said to be crores of rupees in the international market. The search operation of BSF and Punjab Police is still going on and it is being ascertained from which Indian smugglers this huge consignment of heroin was ordered and where it was to be supplied further. By seizing this huge consignment of heroin, Ferozepur Police and BSF have once again foiled the nefarious intentions of Indian and Pakistani smugglers.
