Amritsar: In the email threatening to blow up Sri Darbar Sahib with RDX, America’s Microsoft company has given special information to the Commissionerate Police. Now the police is busy investigating the Tamil Nadu connection of the threatening emails that have been received for three consecutive days. In this regard, Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the police had registered a case on the first day itself on the complaint of SGPC and in view of security, paramilitary forces have been deployed along with heavy police force in the area around Sri Darbar Sahib. Very soon the police will trace the accused and the case will be solved.
Commissionerate Police is looking for Tamil Nadu connection of the email
After the information from Microsoft company, now the police is investigating the Tamil Nadu connection of the threatening emails that have been coming for three days. The Police Commissioner said that many things have been mentioned about South India in the email and Sri Darbar Sahib is also mentioned in it. He said that Tamil Nadu police has also been contacted and they say that they also receive such emails.
Bomb disposal squad arrived from Jalandhar
The Police Commissioner said that taking the security seriously, while dog squad and paramilitary forces along with commando squads have been deployed, the bomb disposal squad from Jalandhar has also been called and deployed on the spot. The police is keeping an eye on the entire matter.
Cyber cell is also investigating along with security agencies
The state’s security agencies and cyber crime cell are engaged in investigation regarding the threatening email. He said that the accused will be identified very soon. Appealing to the people, he said that the police is capable of dealing with every situation. This has been done to create an atmosphere of fear but the police is taking it seriously and no laxity is being taken in the security of the devotees and city residents coming to Sri Darbar Sahib.
