Jalandhar: Providing great convenience to the common people, many new services are being made available at the service centers. Earlier, the administration has changed the timing of the service center of Model Town from 8 am to 8 pm, which is becoming a big relief for the public. In the same sequence, 5 services related to the Revenue Department, 27 facilities of the Transport Department related to Driving License and RC have been made available at the service centers.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal said that as per the new service, the service center provides deed registration, drafting of deed, submission of deed for pre-check, appointment, payment of stamp duty, request for mutation (on the basis of inheritance or registered deed), request for filing of report (related to court orders, bank loan/mortgage or waiver of bank loan/mortgage), Fard Badar (correction in record), request for digitally signed Fard, besides 15 services related to driving license and 12 services related to RC.
Dr. Aggarwal said that among the services related to driving license, services related to learner’s license such as new application, address change, name change, getting duplicate learner’s license are available. Apart from this, other driving license related services include duplicate license, renewal (where visiting test track is not required), replacement, change of address, change of name, correction in date of birth, providing extract of driving license, license surrender, public service badge, renewal of conductor license, extension of learner license etc.
RC related services include duplicate RC, change in ownership of non-commercial vehicle, continuation of hire purchase (in case of change of ownership/change of name), support of hire purchase agreement, fitness certificate for commercial vehicles (heavy/medium/three wheeler/four wheeler/light vehicle), payment of additional lifetime tax (in case of change of ownership), viewing RC details, NOC for RC, updating mobile number in transport services record, change of address in RC. The Deputy Commissioner said that those citizens who cannot come to the Seva Kendra can also avail these services through door step delivery at their homes by dialing the phone number 1076.
