Judge’s gunman shot himself, people trembled seeing the scene

Derabassi: A gunman of a woman judge posted in the court here committed suicide by shooting himself with his service pistol. The deceased has been identified as Harjeet Singh (34), a resident of Sundara village. The deceased has left behind his wife and 10-year-old son. The police reached the spot and took the body into custody and started investigating the case. The woman judge lives in ATS Villa Society on Haibatpur Road, where the body of the gunman was found in the car. The deceased shot himself in the forehead, due to which he died on the spot.

According to the information received, the deceased was recruited as a constable in the police in the year 2012. He was posted as a gunman with the woman judge from the beginning. Yesterday at 2 pm, he brought the children of the woman judge from school, after which he had to reach Derabassi court at 4 pm so that he could take the judge home after the holiday. Meanwhile, in the evening, his body was found in his private car. The car was started, which was parked in an abandoned condition near the house of the woman judge.

Seeing the parked car started, the local people informed the police. The police reached the spot and broke the window and took out the body. The deceased’s phone was switched off and his pistol was lying nearby. The deceased’s uncle’s son Jashan said that he did not have any such problem due to which he committed suicide. DSP Bikramjit Singh Brar, who reached the spot, said that the body has been taken into custody and samples have been taken by calling the forensic team. He said that the matter is being investigated, after which the truth will come out. He said that no suicide note has been recovered from the spot.
