The Punjab government has started the Easy Registration System, which has made it easier to get registration done in the state and people can get online registration done sitting at home. People will benefit greatly from the simplification of the registration process. Also, those who extort money from the common people in the name of registry will also be curbed. It is worth noting that Punjab is the first state in the country where this system has been started. The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann claims that this new system will curb corruption.
Now there will be no need to go to banks to deposit registration fees. Rather, a special gateway for online payment allows citizens to pay all digital transaction fees like stamp duty, registration fee. People will be able to easily track the online registry process. Corruption will be curbed. Irregular activities will be caught immediately due to monitoring at every step. There will be a reduction in paperwork, which will save people’s resources. All documents will now be submitted online.
Property related work will be done soon
CM Mann said that till now, if there was even a single mistake in someone’s name during the purchase and sale of land, it would take 10 years or more to correct it, but now the registry work will be done with complete transparency and there will be no scope for mistakes or it will be resolved soon. If any wrong registry or document is found to be wrong, then the sub-registrar will be responsible.
It is necessary to bring the objection of the sub-registrar within 48 hours
Tehsildar will not be able to delay the registry by registering objections one after the other. Objection can be registered on any registry within 48 hours, that too according to the parameters available on the portal. If this does not happen within 48 hours, then it will be considered a valid property. Draft can be downloaded through Easy Registry Portal.
