Punjab Desk: The Meteorological Department has issued a new warning amid monsoon days in Punjab. According to the department, continuous rain has been predicted for the next 3 days. According to the warning issued, heavy rain may occur in the entire state from the evening.
The department has predicted heavy rains with strong winds and lightning in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Fazilka, Muktsar and Bathinda. The department has issued a yellow alert in 9 districts. Red alert has been declared in 6 districts of the state, which include Ferozepur, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Jalandhar.
On July 21, heavy rains are expected in Rupnagar, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Patiala, Mansa, Fatehgarh Sahib, Moga, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur districts and these districts have also been kept under yellow alert.
