According to information received from sources, the land pooling scheme will be discussed prominently in this meeting. The government has also talked to the Panchs and Sarpanchs of the villages regarding this scheme and taken their opinion. There is also a possibility of making some changes in it as per the need.
Chief Minister Mann had recently pointed to this in his address during a program in Dhuri. He had said that under this scheme, farmers can continue farming on their land before the development work starts and during this time they will also be given rent at the rate of ₹ 50,000 per acre. He also said that increasing this amount to ₹ 70,000 per acre is also being considered. Such decisions may be approved in today’s meeting.
