Stampede due to collapse of 100-year-old building Due to continuous rain in Punjab, news of a major accident has come to light in Kapurthala. Due to the rain that continued throughout the day, a very old building in the old vegetable market suddenly collapsed. In this accident, 2-3 electric poles and wires standing near the building also broke, due to which the power supply of the entire area has stopped. Fortunately, this building collapsed at around 3:30 in the night, due to which there was no loss of life or property. It is worth mentioning that this building was about 100 years old, where there used to be a Bali-Bhatura shop earlier. Due to the collapse at night, a major accident was averted, because if this incident had happened during the day, there could have been a major loss of life due to heavy crowd, because there is a lot of movement of people in the vegetable market since morning. Local people have demanded from the Municipal Corporation that the old and dilapidated buildings present in the city should be identified and demolished as soon as possible, so that such incidents do not happen in future.
