A case of firing has come to light in Dasuha. In fact, while taking action under ‘War Against Drugs’ in village Budhobarkat under police station Dasuha, when ASI of Dasuha police Sarabjit Singh and other employees went to this village regarding drug selling in Budhobarkat, these people got into a scuffle with the police. Due to this, the policemen also got injured.
In this regard, ASI Sarabjit Singh, admitted in the Civil Hospital, told that he had received a call from number 112 that someone had informed him that Niranjan Singh son of Balkar Singh resident Budhobarkat, former Sarpanch and other people are selling drugs in this village. After this, taking immediate action, he reached the spot with another employee Sukhdev. When they reached their house, they talked to them about drugs.
On the spot, the landlord Niranjan Singh and his family members attacked them and people also gathered. Seeing the situation on the spot, they had to fire to protect themselves. As a result, Niranjan Singh and Bhupinder Singh were shot in the legs and Harvinder Singh was hit by pellets in the hand. He told that the people had taken them captive.
On receiving the information, SHO Dasuha Rajinder Singh Manhas, DSP Dasuha Balvinder Singh Jodha along with other police teams reached the spot and rescued both the employees from their clutches and after this admitted them to Civil Hospital Dasuha. Along with this, injured Niranjan Singh son of Balkar Singh resident Budhobarkat and former Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh son of Pyara Singh resident Ghaia and Harvinder Singh were also admitted to Civil Hospital Dasuha. Harvinder Singh has been discharged after first aid and Niranjan Singh and former Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh have been referred to a private hospital in Jalandhar. When DSP Dasuha Balvinder Singh Jodha was talked to in this regard, he told that ASI Sarabjit Singh had gone with the police party under the campaign against drugs and he was attacked by the concerned persons. In this regard, a case has been registered against four people including Naranjan Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Harvinder Singh and about 20 unidentified people. While no information has been received about the other party.
