The rain that started late night is continuing across Punjab. This brought down the temperature significantly and people got relief from the scorching heat. Meanwhile, since this morning, many areas have once again been covered with thick clouds, due to which darkness has also spread in many areas. Light drizzle has also started in many places. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain throughout the week.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the effect of rain will be seen in the entire state today. There will be heavy rain at many places. The department has also issued a yellow alert in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar. Meanwhile, according to the latest update released by the department, there is a possibility of moderate rain with lightning and strong winds at the speed of 30-40 kmph in Sangrur, Patiala, Moga, Ferozepur, Jalandhar, Tarn Taran and Kapurthala by around 10.30 am today.
Similarly, the department has predicted rain till July 28. Due to continuous rain, the temperature in the state is also continuously falling and the maximum temperature remains between 30-35 degrees.
